BAREFOOT, Newton D.; of Orion; formerly of Fayetteville, NC; surrounded by family when he went home to be with our Lord May 6, 2016; age 95; preceded in death by wife Mary; beloved father of Diane (Michael) Marriott, Dennis and Newton D. Jr. (Dianne); survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Newton served in the U.S. Army and moved to Michigan in 1946. He retired in 1978 after thirty-one years of service at G.M. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and gardener, enjoyed hunting and fishing. Newton was a man of great faith and was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Clarkston. The family thanks Heartland Hospice for their support. Funeral service Tuesday 12:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church with visiting directly at the church at 11:00 am. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E.
