HENNIG, Mary E. went to be with the Lord August 24, 2016 at age 95. Preceded in death by her husband Emmett “Ted” Hennig.  She was the loving mother of 9, Jim (Ruthie), Jerry, Joanne, Pat, Mary Ann, Chris (Pam), John (Trish), Sara and Therese (Hyde), grandmother of 13, and great grandmother of 10. She was an active member in the Pax Christi organization and the 2016 Purple Ribbon for Peace Award recipient. She was also a member of Call to Action, a progressive Catholic organization. She loved caring for, sharing food and flowers from her beautiful gardens with her family and her many friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at the Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Friday, August 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Memorial Mass Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 am at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston.  Donations may be made to St. Joseph Mercy Home Care & Hospice.
