Clarkston United Methodist Church’s World Christmas Market and Cookies-by-the-Pound sale, formerly Alternative Christmas Gift Fair, will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The annual event at the church, 6600 Waldon Road, provides shoppers with unique and handcrafted gifts ideas for their loved ones or donations to a charitable organization in a loved one’s name. All proceeds help alleviate suffering at home and around the world as an effort to share the love of Christ at Christmas.
The fair, which is in its 13th year, typically raises more than $20,000, about $2,000 from cookie sales alone.
Proceeds go to about 25 charitable organizations. A suggested $1 donation will be collected at the door to support missions. For more information, contact Cheryl Kelly at ckelly@clarkstonumc.org or 248-625-1611.
