Clarkston Coalition For Youth (CCFY) and Clarkston Area Youth Assistance host a Marijuana Legalization Community Talk on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 7-8 p.m. in the Clarkston Community Schools Admin Board Room, 6389 Clarkston Road.
They will present views for and against Michigan Proposal One, which would legalize the recreational use and possession of marijuana for persons 21 years of age or older and enact a tax on marijuana sales if approved by voters, Nov. 6.
CCFY also presents Drugs 101 on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Clarkston Junior High Performing Arts Center, 6595 Waldon Road.
Educators from St. Joseph Mercy Health System will discuss current trends of teen drug use and skills to help parents engage their kids in conversations. The presentation will include a mock teenager’s bedroom set-up for participants to observe and attempt to identify obvious and not-so-obvious drug related paraphernalia.
