Dear Editor,
Early Monday morning as this is written (Oct. 7), again I awake to darkness this week.
It seems a tree has fallen in a DTE right of way serving my neighborhood.
My neighbors and I have for decades asked, cajoled, and yes, begged DTE to clear the trees in their easement.
So, dear reader, you can understand how truly hilarious, knee slapping funny it is to hear DTE’s multimillion dollar executive on the radio touting windmills and solar panels when they don’t even trim trees around their wires.
Imagine they had spent the $60 million to rename Pine Knob on tree trimming. Perhaps I wouldn’t be writing this by candlelight.
