Clarkston City Council voted unanimously, Nov. 12, to approve a plan by Clarkston Community Historical Society to install three new historic-marking signs in the city.
The new signs will be located at 18 N. Holcomb, Grandma Green birthing house; 23 S. Holcomb, the original Walter’s General Store building; and 29 Buffalo, the original Methodist Church.
The society has so far installed six signs throughout the city. The 36-by-24 inch signs are mounted on steel posts on concrete bases. Cost will be about $6,500, funded by the society and homeowner donations. They will be installed in the spring.
