The Clarkston-area Backyard Birders Club will hear from club member Tom Breneiser about what Pheasants Forever is doing for habitat preservation and protection of the environment, at the club’s Feb. 26 meeting at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Lifestyle Shops, 7150 North Main Street.
The meeting will also include bird sightings by club members, said Bob McGowan, club president.
“Reports of sightings are a popular and important part of our meetings, so we encourage members and new visitors to come with their reports and questions,” McGowan said. “Unusual winter weather in Oakland County this year has created an increasing number of reports of unusual sightings.”
Admission is free. Meetings are informal, with free coffee and baked goods donated by members.
