The Always Christmas store at Lake Orion’s Olde World Canterbury Village recently got national recognition as it was mentioned in a story in The Wall Street Journal.
Always Christmas manager Teresa Miller was quoted in a story by Shelly Branch about the new style of Christmas.
The article, ‘A Hue and Cry Over the Colors Of Christmas Past: Green and Red Are So Over, Today’s Style Mavens Say; The Tree as Accessory,? quoted Miller as saying ‘People are really going for the less traditional colors…Red and green will always be needed, but it seems like people want to be daring.?
According to Canterbury Village’s spokesperson, Mary Ellen Krause, the newspaper used information about the store by pulling up the store’s website. She said a media packet was sent to the Wall Street Journal.
The article also featured a photograph of one of the decorated trees in Always Christmas. The article appeared on the front page of the Dec. 28, 2003 edition of The Wall Street Journal.
