The Clarkston Community Historical Society has made the decision to cancel the 48th annual Art in the Village – originally scheduled for Sept. 19-20 – because of uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 global pandemic.

“Without knowing what the public health situation will be in September, the board decided the potential risk to artists, vendors and customers warranted acting in the best interest of everyone’s safety,” said Jon Smith, CCHS president.

“We are disappointed that this longstanding Clarkston event will not take place, but we’re already thinking about ways to expand next year’s show to make it an even better experience for all.”
