The bulletin boards still read March.
It was like time stood still.
Everest faculty and staff reported back to work on Monday, August 17, eager to prepare for students to return to campus in a few weeks.
Each day began with Mass in the chapel followed by meetings throughout the day. Meetings throughout the week focused on Everest’s mission, the formation provided to students, and the 2020-21 Mountain Policy document outlining all the criteria and policies for this year as well as exciting upgrades to the school’s 1:1 technology program and learning management system.
Teachers also had the opportunity to work in their classrooms. Classrooms have shifted locations in order to maximize student spacing for the school year.
Teachers discussed creative ways to adapt lessons, group work, and classroom procedures to comply with guidelines while assuring that students have the best possible experience as they return to school.
Above all, teachers are looking forward to seeing students smiling faces again and enjoying all the daily interactions that make up the school day.
