Free four-hour self-defense classes are being offered in Oakland County, sponsored by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with the iGroup Model and Talent Agency, the Miss Michigan America Organization, Oakland County Parks and Recreation, and Canterbury Village.
Locally, one will be held this Saturday, September 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Independence Oaks County Park, located 9501 Sashabaw Road, Clarkston.
Classes will be held at outdoor venues across Oakland County with capacity limits and physical distance restrictions in place.

Participants should bring a face covering, layered clothing, water bottle, folding chair, and comfortable outdoor and weather- appropriate shoes.
