The Oxford Varsity Competitive Cheer team won their first league title ever on January 11.
After six years of no league competition, the Flint Metro League hosted two competitions, in which the final scores from each were combined to determine the league champion. Oxford won the title with 1318 total points. Lapeer West took second in the league with 1113.5.
All-League First Team Honors were presented to Yvonne Caperton, Megan Davis, Aubrey Stalnaker and Amy Johnson. Second Team Honors went to Jenelle Parker, Jessica Cuthbertson, Shelley Paschke and Amy Nyland.
