Clarkston Everest Collegiate Boys Track and Field team finished in first place at the second Catholic High School League Intersectional Jamboree, May 2.
Finishing in the top ten in the track events are: in the 100-meter dash, John Morrison in third place in the time of 11.77; Antonio Santoro, fifth, 11.97; Kevin Cronin, sixth, 12.05; 200-meter dash, Santoro, sixth, 24.96; Ravi Iyer, seventh, 25.39; Sawyer Arbogast, eighth, 25.56; 110-meter hurdles, Gavin Ryeson, first, 16.45; Thomas Williams, second, 18.29; Michael Wojciechowski, fifth, 20.04; 300-meter hurdles, Ryeson, first, 44.38; Williams, second, 47.33; and Wojciechowski, seventh, 50.64.
The relay team of Ryeson, Santoro, Morrison and Cronin finished in first place in the 400-meter relay in the time of 45.45 for a new school record and qualified for the Oakland County Meet. The team of Santoro, Cronin, Ryeson and Sawyer Arbogast finished in fourth place in the 1,600-meter relay, 3:59.54. The team of Williams, Iyer, Dominic Engle and Charles Reichert finished in fifth place in the 800-meter relay, 1:40.80. The team of Iyer, James Nedwick, Zachary Felix and Noah Arbogast finished in fifth place in the 3,200-meter relay, 9:59.34.
Finishing in the top ten in the field events are: in the shot put, Morrison in first place with the distance of 45-07 to set a new school record and qualify for the Oakland County Meet; Jacob Jackson, second, 41-05; Joseph Milosch, tenth, 29-03; discus, Jackson, third, 108-04; Milosch, sixth, 85-07; Nathan Czach, eighth, 72-03; high jump, Morrison, fourth, 5-04; long jump, Wojciechowski, fourth, 16-06.5; and Reichert, fifth, 16-04.25.
Everest finished in first place with 132.83 points. Madison Heights Bishop Foley finished in second place with 130 points; University Liggett, third, 76; Detroit Loyola, fourth, 64.33; Allen Park Cabrini, fifth, 61; Marine City Cardinal Mooney, sixth, 53; Ann Arbor Greenhills, seventh, 36; Royal Oak Shrine, eighth, 31.33; and Austin Catholic, ninth, 23.5.
Everest Collegiate Girls Track and Field team finished in sixth place with 63 points.
Finishing in the top ten in the track events are: in the 100-meter dash, Madelyn Krappmann in second place in the time of 14.04; Kathleen Thibodeau, fourth, 14.16; Jessie Burns, sixth, 14.37; 200-meter dash, Krappmann, fourth, 29.38; Thibodeau, seventh, 29.79; Burns, ninth, 30.05; 100-meter hurdles, Stephanie Suran, seventh, 20.12 to set a new school record; and 300-meter hurdles, Erin Booms, first, 53.99.
The relay team of Burns, Thibodeau, Booms and Krappmann finished the 400-meter relay in third place in the time of 55.41. The team of Suran, Erin Carr, Emily Callaghan and Sally McGrath finished in third place in the time of 2:14.76. The team of Suran, Booms, Callaghan and Carr finished in sixth place in the 3,200-meter relay, 12:42.25.
Finishing in the top ten in field events are: in discus, McGrath finished in seventh place with the distance of 64-08; high jump, McGrath, tenth, 3-09 to set a new school record; long jump, Krappmann, third, 14-07.25; Suran, sith, 13-02; and Booms, seventh, 12-11.
Orchard Lake St. Mary’s finished in first place with 109 points. Royal Oak Shrine finished in second place with 102 points; Bishop Foley, 96.5; Ann Arbor Greenhills, fifth, 79; University Liggett, seventh, 48.5; Cardinal Mooney, eighth, 26; Austin Catholic, ninth, 18.5; and Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes, tenth.
The Mountaineers compete in the third CHSL Intersectional Jamboree at Foley on Wednesday. They compete in the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Division 4 Region 38 at Flint Beecher, Mary 19. The CHSL Championship – Cardinal Division is set for May 25.
