Athletes of the Week – Swinging to second

The Clarkston Boys Junior Varsity A Golf swung their way into second place during the Bedford Invite last Friday with a score of 343.
They also had two top ten finishes from Wolves Terry Fortuna and Dane Wilson. Fortuna shot a 81 and Wilson shot a 84.
Tristan Greenlee contributed with a 86; Scott Fisher with a 92; Daniel Trembley with a 99; and Dylan Wright with a 111.
Before competing in the Bedford Invite they played in the Huron Valley Invite at Prestwick on May 9.
They finished in seventh place against 15 teams with 340. It was a great accomplishment because it was a varsity meet.
Greenlee and Mason Skinner led the team, both shot a 81 during the day.
Dane Wilson contributed with a 87; Fortuna had a 87; Trembley had a 96; and Fisher had a 101.
The Wolves varsity counterparts finished in sixth place during the Milliken Millwork at Wyndgate with 318, May 9.
Patrick Deardorff shot a 76; Brady Dice had a 78; Harry Bowman and Jimmy Haven had a 82; and Noah Bridgeman, 91.
The JV A team competed in the Troy Tri-Match on Tuesday. The JV B team hosts Oxford at the Fountains Golf and Banquet on Wednesday.
The varsity team heads to Pontiac Country Club on Wednesday for the Oakland County Division I Championship.
