Leonard Elementary students and their families spent Friday evening making crafty Christmas gifts and eating pizza in the school gym. They were briefly interrupted by a visit from Santa Claus, who made a special trip to Leonard all the way from the North Pole.
Sixty deserving children got to go shopping for Christmas gifts with local police officers and firefighters Dec. 10 at the Oxford Meijer as part of the annual ‘Shop with a Hero? event. Participating agencies included the Oxford, Addison, Orion and Brandon fire departments along with Oxford Village Police and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
The Village of Leonard held its annual Christmas tree lighting Saturday evening. After the switch was thrown, everybody piled into Rowland Hall for hot beverages, cookies, a little music and a visit from Santa.
