Sights, sounds of Christmas

Downtown Oxford’s Centennial Park was the place to be Saturday afternoon both before and after the annual Christmas parade. There were carolers, holiday vendors, live reindeer, hot beverages and cookies, and of course, jolly old St. Nick, who’s always the headliner. He visited with the kids and received their Christmas lists. Ho, ho, ho!

A night of soup, sweets and song

Downtown Oxford was filled with the Christmas spirit Friday evening as families, friends and neighbors enjoyed the annual Soup and Sweet Stroll. They went from business to business sampling savory soups and sinful sweets, then ended the evening in Centennial Park with Christmas carols sung by Oxford choir students and the annual tree lighting ceremony.
