When Chase Stevens went shopping at Little Monsters in downtown, he wasn’t thinking about himself, but picking up a birthday present for a friend.
What started with being a good friend ended with a reward all his own as Stevens was the winner of the Ultimate Gift Basket Giveaway.
The basket included items from a variety of downtown businesses, valued at $875.
Stevens, who is a junior at International Academy High School, said this is the first time he has ever won anything.
‘I don’t know what I’m going to do with everything,? he added with a laugh, saying that he’ll probably share with his family.
Mary Johnson received the second place prize, a $100 gift certificate from Hollywood Market, and Ursula Dorson won the third place prize, a $50 gift certificate from K-mart.
