Board hears citizen requests

The Orion Township Board heard a pair of citizen requests on Tuesday and took action on several other items at their regular meeting.
The board listened to a presentation by Elkhorn Lake resident Nick Cucinelli on property rights within his subdivision. They directed Supervisor Jerry Dywasuk to meet with the township attorney and figure out if any action is warranted or allowed based on township ordinances.
The board also heard a request from Jim Delavan to hold a public hearing with regards to the possible construction of a $10 million public safety complex. The board voted to receive and file the request, with some members noting that a hearing is necessary. The board is set to decide on the hiring of Plate & Moran’s CRESA services at their next meeting.
