Clarkston Varsity Baseball opened last week with a 8-6 win over Troy Athens.
“We had a very good game offensively,” said Addison Turk, head coach, adding Brady Krcziok has gotten to a great start for the season going 3-for-3 at bat.
Luke Spicer went 2-for-2 hitting with three RBIs.
“Luke had a big hit in the fourth inning to extend our lead,” said Turk, adding the Wolves had four runs in the inning.
Mason King had one hit with two RBIs. Ben Bacon and Matt Smith also had one hit and had one RBI each.
“Connor Aiken got the win and Matt Smith got the save,” Turk added. “Connor did a good job giving us four innings. Joey (Vandeputte) and Matt were great relief.”
The Wolves lost to Bloomfield Hills last Wednesday, 12-0.
Clarkston opens league play against Stoney Creek this week. They host the Cougars on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
The Wolves host Birmingham Seaholm on Saturday, 11 a.m. They head to Rochester Adams on Monday, 4:30 p.m. ~WARP
