On Sept. 27, officers of the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement Team (M.A.C.E.) arrested a Clarkston man who allegedly visited a location expecting to met a 14-year-old girl for sex after online conversation.
Roderick Duane Gronlund, 47, reportedly initiated conversation with a reserve officer from Macomb County Sheriff’s Office who was portraying himself as a 14-year-old girl. Gronlund was arrested at the meeting place by officers from the M.A.C.E. unit and uniformed Macomb County Sheriff deputies.
The press release said Gronlund faces five felony charges: two counts of child sexually abusive activity, two counts of use of a computer communicating with another to commit a crime/felony and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.
