Two weeks ago, The Review reported that Flintridge was closed for a resurfacing project.
After a delay due to some drainage issues and some work on the ditches along the road, the project is now underway and is still on track to be finished by mid-August.
According to Road Commissioner Eric Wilson and Road Commission of Oakland County spokeman Craig Bryson, the road will remain open for residents in the area.
Through traffic is being asked to use Waldon Road as a detour.
Wilson said that work on a short stretch of Pine Tree Road is also underway.
