Deputies search for vehicle vandal(s)

Authorities at the Oakland County Sheriff’s Addison substation are still searching for information on the person or persons who vandalized two deputies? personal vehicles on Wednesday, June 15.
Upon returning to the station after patrol around 2 a.m., deputies Rami Abi Adal and Brad Ostrander noticed a 50-gallon trash can lying in the parking lot.
After checking the area, they noticed the swings at the playground nextdoor were twisted to the top and that both of their cars had flat, rear passenger tires.
Deputy Abi Adal found dirt stuffed in his gas tank inlet pipe. Damage is estimated to be more than $500.
Substation Commander Sgt. Pete Burkett said that no surveilance cameras caught the incident.
Two partial finger prints were taken from Abi Adal’s gas cap, but there are no official suspects.
Burkett said they believe they know who might have committed the crime because the person may have had a grudge against the deputies.
‘That’s what makes it kind of bad, when they start retaliating against the deputies? personal stuff when they’re just trying to do their job,? said Burkett. ‘The job is difficult enough.?
Burkett urges anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information pertaining to it to call the 24-hour tipline 1-800-TURN-1-IN.
