Several people and businesses were recent winners in Downtown Lake Orion’s Lighted Holiday Village celebration.
Winning the door prize drawings for the Christmas Moose and Christmas Bear stuffed animals at the Lighted Holiday Village Welcome Center were Patty Kalso and Joyce Dillion.
Kim Biggs won the door prize drawing for the Downtown Lake Orion Gift Certificate.
Kayla Kinnell and Cameron Neely were winners of the ‘Win a Bike Hometown Holiday Shopping Contest. Both youngsters completed a hunt through downtown to collect enough stamps to qualify for the drawing that took place at Paint Creek Bicycles.
The Best Dressed Window Contest was won by Patti’s Place for Hair in a hotly contested race. Patti’s Place earned 224 popular votes, followed by runner up The Cutting Edge with 212 popular votes.
Over 1,500 people voted in this contest that was entered by 15 different businesses.
The trophy, donated by Village Trophy Shop, is being engraved with Patti’s Place being listed as the winner. The hair salon is also entitled to a free full-page ad in The Lake Orion Review, compliments of Sherman Publications.
Vicki Joy was the winner of the $25 Downtown Lake Orion Gift Certificate in this win/win contest. She cast her vote for the Best Dressed Window at Back to Back Beautiful Hair Salon.
The decorated Christmas tree that was decorated by Jacobsen’s Flowers and Gifts, Margaret Cobane and The Cobane Wallace Group was won by the highest bidder, Barbara Kaiser from Charlotte, Michigan.
Her bid of $575 earned money for Downtown Lake Orion that will help support future programs.
