Two new electronic “Your Speed” signs are installed and operational on Holcomb Road.
The permanent, solar powered signs are located on northbound Holcomb near Depot Road and southbound Holcomb between Miller Road and Surrey Lane to remind drivers of their speed on the 25 mph road, said City Manager Jonathan Smith.
Signs stating the speed limit will be attached to the posts this week. Also, increased enforcement by the Oakland County Sheriff will be starting soon, Smith said.
The $7,500 cost of the new signs and increased sheriff patrols, costing $1,970, are all funded by the Washington and Main paid parking lot, he said.
