Lakeville Elementary students kicked off March is Reading month last Friday with a special assembly featuring characters from ‘The Wizard of Oz.?
The Great and Powerful Oz even spoke behind a curtain with creative lights and smoke.
The school hallways are adorned with special homemade decorations seen in the movie, like a giant scary tree from the apple orchard, the poppy field and a large hot-air balloon basket.
The assembly was to get the kids motivated to read as many hours as possible, and then log them on their yellow brick-shaped sheets.
