The Cutting Edge is not just a popular 90s movie, but an establishment right in downtown Lake Orion that can take care of all of your hair needs.
According to new owner Theresa Ferguson, who used to get her hair cut at Cutting Edge and now owns it with her husband, the salon offers full cut, color and styling services, as well as tanning, waxing and manicures.
‘It’s a happy atmosphere,? Ferguson said, adding that they offer all those services and ‘friendship? as well.
She stressed the importance of the salon being a friendly place, and even used to come with her friends for ‘haircut Fridays.?
‘I would come and get my hair done by Greg,? Ferguson said with a laugh.
‘It’s an inviting and friendly environment for people to come in and relax,? she added.
In fact, Ferguson said that since they have the space, they are looking into adding facials and massages in the future.
The Cutting Edge is also expanding, adding new stylists to the staff.
‘We’re looking forward to being successful,? Ferguson said, noting that she is happy to be doing business in downtown Lake Orion, as she is well accustomed to the area. She is a graduate of Oxford High School, and she and her husband live in Oxford.
The salon offers tanning specials such as a year of tanning for $200 with no co-pays.
‘We will also be running some specials at the first of the year,? Ferguson said, noting that they will publicized.
Cutting Edge is currently open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but Ferguson said they are looking to expand hours to allow for people to take part in some winter tanning. They can be reached at (248)693-3060.
