Mueva Fitness of Clarkston is partnering with Pingree Farms and H.O.P.E. Horsepark to offer goat yoga on Sunday, April 29, 1-2:15 p.m., 2:15-3:30 p.m., and 3:30-4:45 p.m. at H.O.P.E. Horsepark, 3090 Weidemann Drive in Independence Township.
Goat yoga blends the movements and stretching of yoga with the playful antics of live kid goats, provided by Pingree Farms of Detroit. Classes are taught by certified yoga instructors.
“Take in the beautiful scenery, meet some interesting folks, and enjoy snuggling these adorable goat babies,” said Mueva owner Teressa Farough. “All you need is your mat, a sense of adventure, and a water bottle – we will provide the rest.”
Part of the money raised will go to H.O.P.E. Horsepark’s mission to help heal others using the healing power of horses.
Pingree Farms grows fresh food for surrounding neighborhood, and works with 4-H and the Detroit Public Schools to care for animals, grow food, and envision a better world.
Mueva is also planning goat yoga for June 17, Father’s Day.
