Imaging center gives back to its loyal following

Lake Orion’s own version of the ‘Prize Patrol? came to Bald Mountain Diagnostic Imaging last week.
Open since April of 2004, the center serves over 300 doctors and has had thousands of patients walk through its doors.
‘I’ve been here from the beginning and we’ve just grown and grown,? Office Manager Mary K. Traurig said.
To thank their patients, the office recently held a raffle where they gave away three prizes: A 20-inch LCD television set, a digital camera and an Mp3 player.
Traurig said the prizes were just a way for the staff to thank those in the area that have been loyal to them.
‘People keep coming back,? Traurig said. ‘They rave about the place.?
‘We just wanted to give back to them,? she added.
The office sent thank you cards out to all patients on file with a note to come in and fill out a raffle card. Those that filled out a card were eligible for the prizes.
Diane Schlitt won the TV, Kathy Poplawski took the camera, and Rebecca Simmer the Mp3 player.
‘It’s nice to come to Bald Mountain Diagnostic Imaging because it is very convenient,? said Schlitt. ‘The surroundings are so comfortable and the staff has always been so helpful.?
For Poplawski, winning the camera came just days after she had bought a new one herself.
After she picked up the prize, she was on her way to return the other camera.
‘This was perfect,? she told Traurig. ‘You saved me $200.?
Traurig said the prize drawing could turn into a yearly thing at the office.
Bald Mountain Diagnostic Imaging is located in the Bald Mountain Regional Medical Complex at 1375 S. Lapeer Rd., Suite 104.
‘We were one of the first medical imaging facilities in north Oakland County,? Traurig said, noting that patients can come into the office with any doctor’s script and expect a quick turnaround on their imaging results.
The facility can handle C.A.T. Scans, Nuclear Scans, Echocardiograms, Stress Tests, Mammograms, Bone Density Scans, Ultrasounds, X-Rays and more.
