Juniors victorious in powderpuff

Dragon Stadium was filled with fans Oct. 8 as the juniors defeated the seniors in the annual homecoming powderpuff game.
Juniors took a quick 7-0 lead in the first quarter, as well as scoring a second touchdown to end the half with a score of 14-0.
The seniors, after having trouble blocking and getting enough forward progress to create a score, finally retaliated at the beginning of the fourth quarter when Cara Booker ran in for a touchdown.
After failing to complete a two-point conversion, the score stood at 14-6.
Several plays later, senior quarterback Christine Norton closed the scoring gap as she ran in a touchdown to bring the game to 14-12.
The seniors once again failed to complete their two-point conversion.
With time slowly running out on the clock, the seniors successfully attempted an onside kick to gain back possession of the ball.
A penalty, on the defense, helped propel the seniors forward, but efforts were stalled as time ran out.
The Class of 2009 took home bragging rights as they defeated the seniors by a final score of 14-12.
