Kids fired up at Fiesta Bible School

The Gingellville Community Church on Baldwin Road held its ‘Fiesta? 2006 Vacation Bible School, July 24-28, with a picnic finale on July 30.
The camp was attended by about 125 elementary-aged students each day, with the help of 66 volunteers.
Each day of the week had a different theme, centered around Jesus (as our friend, helper, leader, savior and life).
The students rotated each morning between five stations that centered around that day’s theme. The stations ranged from games and arts and crafts, to Bible study.
Camp organizers Nancy Rutledge and Dawn Crump said some of the highlights included the kids making and serving snacks each day, and the camp creating 22 blankets to send to homeless children in Lima, Peru.
Each day concluded with a celebration and songs, led by Youth Pastor Josh Yates.
