King of Kings welcomes new music ministry director

Music is a way of life for Paul Finazzo.
After years of working as a jazz musician, releasing CDs, playing in concerts, and living life with a love of music, Finazzo is tackling his newest role as the director of music ministry for King of Kings Lutheran Church.
‘I oversee all the music that goes on in the church,? Finazzo said, noting that he works with individuals of all ages to get music ready for mass and other events.
After being a ‘working musician? for a long time, Finazzo has lots of experience to share with others, and he is even continuing his musician career by working on a new CD.
He said that his last CD was released in 2000, and he is now working on a follow-up.
This CD combines both music and ministry as it features Christian music.
The new job isn’t his first experience in music ministry, as Finazzo worked at a Lutheran church in Northville before coming to King of Kings.
With his many years in music, not to mention his other job as the fifth grade band teacher for St. Joseph Catholic School, Finazzo has a lot of experience with many different musical instruments, but he said that he plays two well.
‘Bass is my instrument, both stand-up and electric,? he added. ‘I’ve also played piano since I was a little kid.?
Finazzo is happy to have found a place at King of Kings.
‘I just love it here and all the activities and stuff going on,? he said.
Not only does he like the area, but Finazzo also likes that King of Kings is a purpose-driven church and its parishioners get involved in all aspects of worship.
And although Finazzo lives in Clinton Township with his wife, Dawn, son Cory, a high school junior, and daughter Nicolie when she’s home from college, he’s not the only fan of the Lake Orion area. His wife loves Sagebrush Cantina.
All and all, Finazzo is looking forward to getting started.
‘I’m excited to get on board and start working with all those that are gifted in music,? he added.
