Jack Berry finished the World National Powerlifting Federation National Powerlifting tournament in Youngstown, Ohio setting records and winning championships.
Berry, a senior at Clarkston High School, competed in the 134-pound weight range and returned with three new Michigan records and three new American records.
He set records at 200-pound squat, 130-pound bench press and 275-pound deadlift.
Berry began weight training last November as a source for building strength, physically and mentally.
He shared it has been a positive experience and he loves the uplifting environmental weight training and the satisfaction of getting stronger, along with being more fit, by the week. He has already accomplished his goals and is working on his next goals which includes setting more records next year.
