The Lake Orion High School Marching Band marched their way to success last Saturday at the Great Lakes Invitation held in Plymouth-Canton.
The band captured the first place position in Flight 1 with a score of 77.25. Novi took second with a 68.8 score.
Lake Orion also captured caption awards for best music, best marching and best general effect.
To continue their success, Orion’s band also had the best overall score of all flights (1-3) to capture the Lundy Traveling Award.
Their next competition will be this Saturday at Clarkston High School.
