Campbell-Richmond American Legion Post 63 will lead Clarkston’s annual Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 30.
The Clarkston High School Marching Band will join American Legion Post 63 Color and Honor Guard, Squadron 63 Sons of the Am. Legion (SAL), and Unit 63 Auxiliary in the parade. Also joining will be vintage military vehicles provided by Terry and Muriel Shelswell.
The parade will form-up in Depot Park beginning at 9 a.m. and will begin the march to Lakeview Cemetery at 10 a.m. The route to Lakeview Cemetery will be west on Depot Road, left on Holcomb Road, and continuing south to arrive at Lakeview Cemetery at about 10:20 a.m.
Guest speaker will be Lt. Col. David St. Aubin. Students from Clarkston Junior High School will read their Essays on Memorial Day, and the Clarkston High School Marching Band will perform patriotic music.
