Everest Collegiate Girls Varsity Basketball opened the week for the Mountaineers with a 40-35 win over Cranbrook on Jan. 17.
They defeated Orchard Lake St. Mary’s on Jan. 13, 45-20; and Ann Arbor Greenhills on Jan. 10, 43-13.
The boys varsity basketball team won their home against Cardinal Mooney on Jan. 18, 61-51.
They lost to No. 1 ranked Detroit Loyola on Jan. 10, 77-26; and Liggett on Jan. 12, 52-44.
Bishop Foley United opened the week with a 5-2 win over Port Huron, Jan. 16. They lost to Tawas on Friday, 3-1; and lost to Bay Area Thunder on Saturday, 5-3.
They lost to New Boston United on Jan. 10, 2-0. Mountaineer Parker Stalcup had 30 saves in the net. They lost ot Dearborn Divine Child in overtime on Jan. 12, 3-2. Stalcup had 19 saves in the net.
They lost to Monroe St. Mary’s in overtime on Jan. 14, 4-3. Mountaineer Remy Stalcup had two assists.
