Mountaineer Update for October 30, 2024

Everest Football
The Clarkston Everest Collegiate Football team finished the regular season with a 17-14 loss to Lutheran North in overtime at the Catholic High School League Prep Bowl at Ford Field on Saturday.
The Mountaineers (8-1) host Burton Bentley (5-4) in the pre-district game of the MHSAA Football Division 8, District 2 Region 2 playoffs. The game is this Friday at 7 p.m.

Everest Cross Country
The Mountaineers finished in third place in the MHSAA Division 3 Girls Cross Country Region 33 meet at Webberville last Friday.
The top five finishers were senior Erica Walker in eighth place finishing in the time of 21:05.84; freshman Allison Schmitt, 11th, 21:41.27; senior Isabella Page, 20th, 22:46.32; sophomore Susan Nedwick, 21st, 22:50.44; and senior Maria Saad, 23rd, 23:29.40.
They scored 76 points to qualify for the state meet at Michigan International Speedway this Saturday.

Everest Boys Soccer
The Clarkston Everest Collegiate Boys Varsity Soccer team lost to Lansing Christian, 2-1, in the MHSAA Division 4 Regional 16 semifinal, Oct. 22.
The Mountaineers ended the season 15-3-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the Catholic High School League-Intersectional No. 2 for second place in the league.

Everest Girls Volleyball
The Clarkston Everest Collegiate Volleyball team played in a Tri-Match last Thursday. They defeated Lutheran Northwest, 2-1, 23-25, 25-18, 15-11; and Bishop Foley, 2-0, 25-12, 25-11. The Mountaineers (29-0-1, 11-0 Catholic – Intersectional) host Byron today, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m.
