The Clarkston Everest Collegiate Varsity Football team shut out Allen Park Cabrini last Friday, 41-0.
The Mountaineers took the lead in the first quarter beginning with a 9-yard touchdown run by Giovanni Mastromatteo, a 70-yard touchdown pass from Mastromattero to Jimmy Neme and a 36-yard touchdown run by Jack Lasceski.
They continued scoring with two more touchdowns in the second quarter with a 10-yard run by Neme and a 55-yard run by Lasceski.
They finished the night with a 14-yard touchdown run by Gavin Harris in the fourth quarter.
Joey Thibodeau went 5-for-6 in PATs.
Leading rushers were Lasceski with 123 yards, Thibodeau with 64 yards on four carries and Nathan Beggs with 55 yards. Neme had 46 yards rushing and caught a 70-yard touchdown pass.
Neme also led defense with eight tackles and a sack. Dominic Cross had six tackles and two sacks. Beggs had six tackles and John Suran had five tackles and a sack.

Everest Boys Varsity Soccer went 1-2 last week.
They shutout Austin Catholic on Saturday, 6-0. Lucas Cross and Jose DeNigris led the team with two goals each. Johnny Morrison and Charlie Reichert had one goal each.
They lost on the road to Summit Home School, 6-2. Cross scored both goals in the game on Sept. 17. They lost to Shrine, 3-2, Sept. 15.

Everest Varsity Volleyball posted wins over Genesee Christian and Summit Academy.
They went 3-1 against Genesee Christian on Sept. 15 winning three close sets, 32-30, 26-24 and 25-23. They lost the third set 25-17.
They went 3-0 against Summit Academy last Thursday, 25-14, 25-12, 25-15.

The Clarkston Everest Collegiate Girls Cross Country team finished in first place at the CHSL Intersectional Division 1 Jamboree, Sept. 15.
The finished with 21 points with five runners in the top ten.
Sophomore Caroline Cross led the team finishing in second place, 21:53.5. Junior Avery Herrgott finished in third place, 22:16.8; freshman Eve Herrgott, seventh, 23:20.1; sophomore Alyse Felix, eighth, 23:32.7; and senior Theresa Waller, tenth, 23:49.
Senior Allison Brzezinski, sophomore Stephanie Suran and sophomore Allison Tong finished in the top 20. Brzezinski finished in 15th place, 25:26.5; Suran, 17th place, 25:45.8; and Tong, 20th, 26:19.4
Royal Oak Shrine finished in second place with 57 points; Madison Heights Bishop Foley, third, 66 points; and Austin Catholic, fourth, 91 points.
The Mountaineers finished in second place in the Powers Charger Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Abrams Park with 58 points.
Cross finished in eighth place at 22:08.45; Avery Herrgott, tenth, 22:14.7; Eve Herrgott, 11th, 22:56.81; Felix, 15th, 23:18.51; Waller, 16th, 23:25.88; and Suran, 19th, 23:58.57.
Warren Regina finished in first place with 19 points; Flint Powers Catholic, third place, 73 points; and Wixom St. Catherine, fourth, 90 points.
