Former Clarkston DPW Supervisor Mike Speagle has accepted a position in the Independence Township Department of Public Works. 
Replacing Speagle is James “Jimmy” Turner, who started in April. Turner is a Clarkston native, grew up in Clarkston and attended Clarkston schools. He has supervisory experience and extensive mechanical experience, but also has experience in construction, landscaping and snow plowing.
