Offensive woes continue for Lady Cats

The offensive frustration continued for Girl’s Varsity Basketball Head Coach Al Poynter as he saw his Wildcats get outscored 16-1 in the opening quarter of Monday night’s 53-21 loss to Fenton.
The 21 points was a season-low for the girls. Their previous low was 22 points, which came against Troy and Clio.
‘We got off to a poor start and Fenton took advantage on both ends,? said Poynter. ‘We just have to stay determined, positive and focused on improving, especially on the offensive end.?
Senior Megan Tilley was the leading scorer for the Wildcats with six points.
Monday’s performance came on the heels of back-to-back 40 point offensive outbursts for their girls.
The girls look for the shooting touch to return when they take on Brandon at home on Friday, Jan. 8 before traveling to Lapeer East on Jan. 11.
