Pine Tree students bring history alive

Mr. Martin’s third grade class was filled with famous historical figures last week, as his students hosted the ninth annual wax museum.
Students choose what famous person they would like to represent, and spent the last month researching their person and preparing their scripts, costumes and props.
Famous individuals from all aspects of life and American history were well represented. Among the famous guests were talk-show host and humanitarian Oprah Winfrey, baseball star Jackie Robinson, pioneer of modern nursing Florence Nightingale and Sacajawea, the Shoshone Indian that helped guide on the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
