The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department recently released a picture of the suspect in the Sept. 21 indecent exposure case in the Independence Township Library.
The suspect is a white male believed to be in his 20’s with dark hair, a medium build, standing about five feet 10 inches tall and weighing 175-180 pounds.
According to Oakland County Sheriff Department Sergeant Matt Baldes, library surveillance shows the suspect entering the building around 2:15 p.m., at times wandering up and down aisles. The suspect is seen exiting at approximately 3:55 p.m., shortly after the incident, wearing a Detroit Tigers baseball cap, white t-shirt with logo, tan shorts and black mid-top tennis shoes.
Based on the original report, the male approached a woman browsing books in an aisle. As the woman bent over to grab a stack of books, the suspect exposed himself to her. When the woman confronted the man, he said ‘I’m sorry? and quickly exited the premises.
‘The library has an excellent video surveillance system and they were great in working with us to get the pictures,? said Baldes.
