‘Gloves for Good? is back this fall with hopes of aiding 300 students of all ages in our area.
Boxes have been set up throughout Orion Township to help in the cause.
The gloves will be donated to the Lake Orion Boys & Girls Club to be provided to children in Auburn Hills, Lake Orion and Pontiac.
Local drop-off sites include CJ’s Caf?, the Bank of Auburn Hills, Pee Wee Patch Child Care Center, Tubby’s on M-24, Oakview Middle School, Waldon Middle School, Casa Real Restaurant, Cobasys, the Lake Orion Senior Center, the Lake Orion Library and Tire Warehouse.
The Boys & Girls Club needs the gloves for kids elementary through high school age. There are about 300 kids involved in these programs.
Pamela Barc, of Etiquette’s Edge, said the needs of single mothers in our area is a ‘hidden problem? that ‘Gloves for Good? helps to address.
Please drop gently used or new waterproof gloves in the boxes anytime from now until Oct. 26.
At press time, the Bank of Auburn Hills had already started the process by donating 20 pairs of waterproof gloves/mittens.
The program is sponsored by Etiquette’s Edge and Lake Orion Sunrise Rotary, which meets every Thursday at 7:15 a.m. at CJ’s Caf
