Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana collapsed on stage at Pine Knob Music Theatre during his concert and was taken to McLaren Clarkston for observation, July 5.
While the scene didn’t look positive to concertgoers at the time, the 74-year-old Santana was reportedly waving to spectators as he was taken to an ambulance at the venue.
“Just taking it easy,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer posted to his Facebook page just after midnight. “Forgot to eat and drink water so I dehydrated and passed out. Blessings and miracles to you all.”
Santana was released during the night from the hospital.
The concert that night was canceled and the tour has 21 dates left before Santana heads back to Las Vegas for his House of Blues residency.
Last December, Santana canceled a number of performances in Las Vegas after he underwent an unspecified heart procedure. He and members of his band also tested positive for COVID-19 in February, which also forced the cancellation of some concert dates.
Santana was formed in 1966 in San Francisco, Calif.
