Senior scholarships

Three 2020 Clarkston High School graduating seniors recently received scholarships from MSU Federal Credit Union for their college educations.
Nathan Abolish, Jordan Mountain, and Timothy O’Donnell each received a $500 scholarship.
”We are grateful for this opportunity to assist high school seniors to pursue post-secondary education in our communities,” said Whitney Anderson Harrell, MSUFCU chief community development officer. “This is our fifth year of offering scholarships to graduating seniors, and we look forward to helping more students achieve their dreams.”
To qualify for the scholarship, students had to be accepted and committed to attending Michigan State University or Oakland University, submit an essay describing what financial education has done for them, submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be a member of MSUFCU or Oakland University Credit Union.
Recipients were selected by a scholarship committee, which included credit union employees.
