The Lake Orion Girls took seventh place at State Division I meet, held Monday at Marquette Mountain.
The team’s combined slalom and giant slalom score of 248.5 edged Walled Lake Northern and was just behind rivals Clarkston and Adams.
Traverse City West took first place with an impressive 46.0 total.
Emily Loerch placed 21st in the giant slalom for the Dragons (1:10.90), followed by teammates Julia Jabczenski (32nd) and Ashley Simpkins (45th), who also broke the 1:20 mark.
In the slalom, Jabczenski placed 30th (1:43.82), with teammates Kelsey Lepper (31st) and Simpkins (35th) close behind.
On the boys? side, individual qualifier Jake Phillips placed 46th in the slalom with a time of 1:44.64.
