Jeremy Nord and Cameron Thomas took the top spots during the Don Thomas Cup, Jan. 28.
Nord led the Clarkston Boys JV Ski team during the race finishing in first place in the combined time of 38.98.
Bedford Muzzy finished in 16th place in the combined time of 42.29; Micheal Brancheau, 23rd, 43.54; Aiden Pagel, 41st, 45.50; Aaron Micallef, 63rd, 47.76; Brandon Brown, 76th, 49.36; Ryan McKay, 85th, 50.43; and Richie Majewski, 87th, 50.77.
The boys finished in fifth place out of 15 teams with 81 points.
Thomas led the Clarkston Girls JV team finishing in first place in the combined time of 39.46.
Vanessa Micallef finished in 20th place in the combined time of 48.56; Nicole Smith, 21st, 48.70; Ella Reed, 32nd, 50.83; Sydney Draxler, 59th, 57.36; and Maya Mucha, 62nd, 58.07.
The girls finished in third place out of 12 teams with 74 points.
Both Nord and Thomas moved up to the varsity teams after the Don Thomas Cup event.
The girls JV team had five finish in the top 15 during their Giant Slalom in the Pine Knob High School League, Jan. 25.
Elliot Baetens finished in first place in a total time of 38.34; Thomas, second, 38.77; Draksler, fourth, 40.08; Smith, 14th, 45.71; Reed, 15th, 45.72; and Mucha, 36th, 53.46.
The boys JV team had three finish in the top ten during their Giant Slalom in the Pine Knob High School League, Jan. 25.
Nord finished in first place in the combined time of 37.92; Muzzy, fourth, 39.69; Brancheau, eighth, 40.39; McKay, 16th, 41.99; Pagel, tied for 22nd, 43.19; Browne, 33rd, 44.82; and Majewski, 47th, 47.94.
The varsity teams competed in their Giant Slalom races on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
The girls team had all seven racers finish in the top 14.
Sydney Thomas finished in second place in the time of 36.70; Courtney Bayley, third, 36.96; Phoebe Savoie, fifth, 37.08; Cameron Thomas, ninth, 37.91; Maddie Leithauser, 11th, 38.17; Cameron Brosky, 12th, 38.54; and Audrey Brancheau, 14th, 38.74.
The boys team had three racers finish in the top 15.
Luke Farella led the pack finishing in second place in the time of 35.61; Noah Ostheimer, ninth, 37.10; Everett Baetens, 14th, 37.54; Sawyer Haiss, tied for 22nd, 38.37; Max Ashley, 25th, 38.45; Jeremy Nord, 30th, 38.63; and Evan Savoie, 40th, 39.32.
This week the JV teams competed in the divisionals on Tuesday in a Giant Slalom. The varsity teams have divisionals with Slalom on Wednesday and Giant Slalom on Thursday.
The varsity teams compete in MHSAA Division 1 Region 2 on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
