Spring winds down

Senior Ben Haas finished his high school career as state champion at the MHSAA Division 1 Track and Field State Finals in East Kentwood on Saturday.
He took first place in shot put, throwing a distance of 57-08.5. He took 12th place in the discus with a throw of 130-04.
Junior Andrew Sesti finished in ninth place in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:25.51.
Freshman Genna Golab finished in 18th place in the pole vault, 9-09.

Clarkston Varsity Baseball finished the season with a 11-1 loss to Lapeer in the MHSAA Division 1 District 31 final.
Brady Krzciok hit a double to bring home Lucas McKinney to put the Wolves, 1-0, early in the game.
The Wolves won the semifinal game against Oxford, 1-0.
The Wolves beat Davison in the first round in eight innings, 5-4, June 1. Matt Smith went 3-4 at the bat with one double and three RBIs. Ben Bacon went 3-for-4 at bat with one double and had two runs. Ryan Witt had one hit, one double and one run. Krzciok had one hit and two runs.
