An unusually long May election ballot will greet voters that head to the polls next Tuesday in Orion Township.
In addition to the usual school board election, voters will also decide the fates of a millage proposal for the Orion Township Library and both bond and millage proposals for the safety paths.
Two seats are open on the school board, with Bob Gritzinger seeking re-election against Kelly Roy and Tiffany Weber-Phillips.
The polls will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, May 8, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the 14 Orion polling locations.
‘My only encouragement is that people get informed and that they come out to vote,? said Orion Township Clerk Jill Bastian.
Historically, May elections have much smaller turnouts than November ones.
