The Clarkston Girls Swim and Dive team completed their season at the MHSAA Division 1 State Championships at Eastern Michigan University, Nov. 16 and 17.
The 200-yard Medley Relay team with senior captain Caroline Hughes, sophomore Alexis Moon, sophomore Evie Dice and junior Haley VanBuskirk finished in 11th place, 1:48.03. The same team also competed in the 400-yard Free Relay team and finished in 20th place, 3:40.04.
Hughes qualified for finals in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in tenth and with a new varsity record in the time of 58.39.
Other individual results include, Hughes 100-yard butterfly, 19th place, 58.79; VanBuskirk, 50-yard freestyle, 22nd place, 24.89, and 100-yard freestyle, 26th place, 53.86; Dice, 50-yard freestyle, 25th place, 25.00, and 100-yard butterfly, 26th place, 59.47; Moon, 200-yard Individual Medley, 35th place, 2:14.17, and 100-yard breaststroke, 20th place, 1:06.61.
Freshman Madison Verbeke competed in the Diving Competition, earning 161.30 points to finish in 21st place.
The Wolves will continue to build on this momentum and look forward next season.
