Although the Oxford Varsity girls swim team only competed in three events and didn’t place at the Oakland County Tournament this past weekend, they still had three great accomplishments.
Coach Jackie Boswell said her swimmers created three new school records in three of the events.
In the 200 medley relay, senior Anna Bonfiglio, sophomore Allison Woonton, and freshmen Jenna Mallard and Anna Daves, ended at 2:11.39.
In the 100 breaststroke, Woonton finished at 1:13.76.
In the 400 freestyle relay, Woonton, Mallard, Daves, and junior Caroline Kerbelis, finished in a time of 4:15.66.
A total of 35 teams competed at the event at Lake Orion High School. The girls take on Fenton Thursday night at home.
